The Retreat
2026 Theme
Earth. Air. Fire. Water. Before they were science, they were how people made sense of the world - what holds you up, what gives you life, what burns away what's no longer needed, what flows and adapts. This year's retreat borrows that framework to ask a simple question: what's elemental in your life right now? Not the big dramatic changes, but the small, core-level shifts that quietly reshape everything.
What grounds you, and what's eroding that foundation? What are you holding onto that needs to burn off? Where have you stopped breathing - literally or otherwise - and where do you need to let things flow? These aren't abstract prompts. They're the kind of questions that come up over a campfire or a long walk through the pines when you've got space to actually think.
The theme runs through the weekend - in workshops, in conversation, in the quiet moments between - but it's a thread, not a script. Take what resonates and leave the rest.
What to Expect
Friday Evening
Arrive at camp, choose your bunk, and get your bearings. We gather for dinner and an opening circle to set the tone for the weekend.
Saturday
Morning starts with optional meditation and coffee on the deck. Mid-morning workshops run until lunch. The afternoon is wide open — swim in the pool, hike the trails, nap in a hammock, or just sit and talk. Evening brings the campfire, and whatever happens around it.
Sunday Morning
A closing circle to mark the weekend. Brunch together, then pack up and head home. Most people leave by noon. Some linger.
Optional Add-On
Test your limits on Camp Stevens' high ropes course. Guided by certified instructors, the course is a powerful exercise in trust, vulnerability, and letting go. Available Saturday afternoon — sign up at registration.
